The TLA 700 Series Logic Analyzer offers powerful hardware and software debug tools for todayªs digital design engineers to meet both schedules and reliability requirements.
MagniVu* acquisition technology is a 2 GHz sampling architecture that provides 500pS timing resolution on all channels, all the time. Even when you are acquiring state data and using disassembly display capabilities, the logic analyzer is acquiring the high speed timing information through the same probe simultaneously. This gives the design engineer the ability to trigger on code sequences or other state-based activity on the processors bus, then view the timing relationships of address, data and control signals with 500pS resolution.
Powerful state-based triggering allows the design engineer to track complex code sequences and trigger on very specific activity using up to 16- states with 4- "If-Then" clauses per state. For timing analysis purposes the TLA 700 has the ability to trigger on glitches or on timing errors, such as a setup and hold violation caused by any bit or bits of the data bus in relation to the associated strobe. These are just a few of the many triggering capabilities available.
The TLA 700 Series offers four Digital-Real-Time DSO modules which are integrated with the logic analyzer module. The 2- and 4- channels DSO modules are available with either 500 MHz or 1 GHz analog bandwidth.
With the TLA 700 Series, Tektronix has built on Windows 95. Because Windows 95 is fully integrated and embedded, when you open the box you have the benefit of operating in an environment you are already familiar with, allowing you to concentrate on the problem rather than operating the instrument.
